Yes we were at the same table but we're not the same person so I'm curious why my email was ignored. That's as disappointing as the red sauce and my freezer burned shrimp that was. cooked within an inch of its lifeAll Lacquered Uphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09469535584973184196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-609911428260668545.post-40934203235108500152012-03-12T15:39:01.397-04:002012-03-12T15:39:01.397-04:00No matter how good the food is, bad service will r...No matter how good the food is, bad service will ruin an evening out for sure. Our service was not surly, just slow. My post was positive because I felt that my group may have contributed to the waiter thinking we wanted to be there all night. But I really enjoyed the food - we ordered a ton of stuff but not much of our order overlapped with yours amazingly. Really happy that Dante addressed it properly (not really surprised - he is great!)Crystal @EatDrinkClevhttp://eatdrinkcleveland.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-609911428260668545.post-34169518671616805182012-03-12T14:00:10.660-04:002012-03-12T14:00:10.660-04:00I think I saw Michelle's tweet about the exper...I think I saw Michelle's tweet about the experience, so I'm glad to read the full details on what happened. I applaud you for keeping cool at the restaurant -- I would have not shown that much restraint.

I had been really excited to make the drive out to D.C. (if I had to choose one meal to eat the rest of my life it would be pasta), but the tweet kind of dampened that desire.

Now that I've read about Dante's gracious and appropriate response to your email, I am back to wanting to check them out. Hopefully the waitstaff was just having an off day (not that that behavior was at all excusable) or improves by the time I go in.

Thanks for sharing that experience, as well as the outcome of it!Amanda @ Clue Into CLEhttp://clueintocleveland.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-609911428260668545.post-23657692912724890442012-03-12T13:55:45.934-04:002012-03-12T13:55:45.934-04:00Having to complain about service can be so awkward...Having to complain about service can be so awkward but sometimes it is definitely necessary. I had a similar experience with bad service at Michaelangelo's (although the food was AMAZING!). I called to voice my frustration and was placated to but never heard back from the General Manager. Glad to hear you got a better response from Dante himself- I loved my experience at his restaurant in Tremont and looking forward to trying DC Pasta!Sarahttp://sarafindingthetime.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
