Today is a good day in my blog world. This post is #500.
When I started this little ole blog in 2009, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was just started as an outlet for my passion for writing, and I was enjoying exploring the new city that I had started to call "home." I wanted to share my dining experiences beyond the in-person conversations that I was constantly having with friends, family, and co-workers about our restaurant scene, not knowing if anyone would really be reading or not.
Well, almost five years later, I'm still here and so are you. Let's celebrate!
It's no secret that Cork & Cleaver Social Kitchen in Broadview Heights has become a favorite of mine since they opened this year. Have you been yet? If so, then you've probably fallen in love with their food as well. I haven't had a bad meal there yet. Haven't been? Well, here's your chance...
In celebration of blog post #500, I'm giving away a $25 gift certificate to Cork & Cleaver.
There are a few ways that you can enter:
1. Leave a comment on this blog post, suggesting a restaurant for my 2014 To Dine Challenge. I'm looking for restaurants that I haven't been to yet, that you want to see me visit in the next year. I'll select 10, and announce them on January 1st as my New Year's Resolution, of sorts.
2. Tweet: "I want @BiteBuff to send me to @CorkCleaver in celebration of number 500. You could win too at http://tinyurl.com/kntuo9d." Leave another comment on this blog post, with a link to your tweet.
3. "Like" my fan page on Facebook, and "like" Cork and Cleaver Social Kitchen too. Leave another comment on this blog post, telling me that you like both.
You can enter the giveaway using one or more methods. I will select the winner using random.org on Friday, December 20th.
Truly, thank you for reading and sharing in my experiences. This blog is such a source of fun and adventure for me, and I'm thrilled to have reached 500. Good luck!
Happy 500th post!!!!

ReplyDeleteI like you both on FB although Cork and Cleaver is new to me. I will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI know I already recommended Sweet Melissa on another post, I'd also recommend checking out Fat Heads in North Olmsted in 2014.
ReplyDeleteI also like both pages. I'd love to try out Cork & Cleaver, I haven't been there yet!

ReplyDeleteHave you been to Ray's Place in Kent. Great beer and better than bar food.
ReplyDeleteHappy 500th post.
ReplyDeleteI already like you and C&C on facebook :-)
I think you should give SoHo another try. We just 'kinda liked' it on our first visit, too. But have found the food and service just got better each time we went - and it's now one of my favorite places. Also, although it's not a restaurant - Rising Star Coffee Roasters with a Cleveland Bagel Company bagel.
Many congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I STILL haven't been to C+C!! What is wrong with me!?!?
My recommendation is Edwins.

ReplyDeleteIt's sort of a fast-casual take on Mediterranean but it is so good (from what I've had there), so I'm recommending La Kabob in Strongsville, OH.
ReplyDeleteMy vote, even though it may not technically be its own restaurant, is Phat Daddy's Kitchen inside of a Riverside Pub in a West Park. Wild Boar tacos are out of sight!!
ReplyDeleteI like your page and Cork and Cleaver's.

ReplyDeleteOK so there's this COMPLETELY random teeny tiny little place called Asian Gardens and Tea Room in Portage Lakes/Akron, and they have THE best Pho and homemade egg rolls of all time. This guy and his wife bought the tea room a couple of years ago and turned it into the combo tea room/asian garden. She's vietnamese and makes the best pho ever. Hands down. ;) No one even knows about it.
